2025 Beginners Sewing Class
In this class you will learn how to cut fabric, sew a ¼” seam, press, match seams, terminology, and more! By the end of the four sessions the goal is for you to have a completed quilt top that measures 51”x 64” (lap size). Shown are examples I have made of the Contemporary Nine Patch. You will choose your own fabrics!
Class fee: $260
What does my class fee include?
· Fabric to make the quilt top (3.5 total yards)
· Backing fabric (3.75 yards)
· Binding fabric (½ yards)
· Batting (1.75 yards)
· Contemporary Nine Patch Quilt Pattern
· A spool of thread
When is the class?
Each class will be made up of four sessions. Because this beginner’s class will be very hands on, each class will only have 2-4 students.
Classes will be Mondays from 6pm-8pm.
What do I need to bring?
Your sewing machine and the accessories that go with it. Which means pressure foot, power cord, empty bobbin, and pressure feet. You will also need a rotary cutter, ruler (a 6”x24” works best) and seam ripper.
*If you do not have a sewing machine or have access to one but would still like to take the class please talk to me.
